About us
Growers first, sellers second
Alpha Tropic Seeds began as a backyard collection of fruit trees in Puerto Rico and grew into a specialty nursery serving tropical plant lovers everywhere.
Our story
What started with a handful of mango and soursop seedlings shared among neighbours turned into something bigger: a small nursery dedicated to the fruit trees, palms and rare foliage that thrive in the tropics.
Today we grow, source and hand-pack every order ourselves. We focus on fresh tropical seed and healthy plants rather than long-stored stock.
We also believe a plant is only as good as the information that comes with it. That's why every species in our catalog has a full growing guide covering germination, light, water, soil and the problems you're most likely to run into.

What we stand for
How we work
Simple commitments that shape every order we send out.
Fresh tropical seed
Tropical seed is perishable, so we focus on fresh seed and clear planting instructions for every species.
Nursery-grown plants
Our live plants are raised in the humid Caribbean climate they love, then acclimated before shipping.
Grown and packed by us
Every order is prepared by hand in our Puerto Rico nursery, with care instructions included.
Careful packing
Seeds and plants are packed by hand to protect them in transit.
