Question 1

How fresh are your seeds?

Accepted Answer

Tropical seed is perishable, so we focus on fresh seed and recommend planting promptly on arrival. Germination depends on species and growing conditions, and each product links to a growing guide.

Question 2

Where do you ship?

Accepted Answer

We ship from Puerto Rico. International shipping is not currently offered as a standard service — if you have a question about a specific destination, email hello@alphatropic.com before ordering.

Question 3

What if my order arrives with a problem?

Accepted Answer

Email hello@alphatropic.com with your order reference and photos of the item and packaging. We review each report individually. Our full return and refund policy will be published separately.

Question 4

How long do tropical seeds take to germinate?

Accepted Answer

It varies widely: papaya can sprout in 10–14 days, while some palms take 3–6 months. Every product page links to a growing guide with realistic timelines and pre-treatment steps.

Question 5

Can I grow tropical plants in a cold climate?

Accepted Answer

Yes — most of our species do well in containers that summer outdoors and overwinter indoors or in a greenhouse. Look for the hardiness and light notes on each product page.

Question 6

Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing?

Accepted Answer

We do, for nurseries, landscapers and educational programs. Send us a message with the species and quantities you need and we'll put together a quote.

Question 7

When will you restock a sold-out species?

Accepted Answer

Seed availability follows harvest seasons and plant stock follows propagation cycles. Join the newsletter for restock alerts, or contact us and we'll let you know directly.
